What a time to be in Barcelona capital of the new country of catslunya.bthe Spanish government has sent thousands of paramilitary police to occupy the city and they can be seen even close to the main tourist sights. They have imprisoned many members of the local government Saturday night through to Sunday possibly with a climax at 11am on Sunday will see millions of Catalan people in cities across the country demonstrating for democracy? The government in Madrid are acting  like Franco dictatorship in imposing fines and arresting people for asking to vote? Imagine the Westminster government sending  British troops to Edinburgh to arrest the fishy crew there. Last night at ten pm at an arranged time throughout the city national flags were flown  a from most properties and people stood on  their balconies all over the city banging tin lids with wooden spoons as a  a sign of defiance against the castellon govrrnmrnt. Under Franco the people  I were banned from speaking their own  language or teaching it or school and it could not be heard on TV or radio it looks as if the government in Madrid  are hoping that this news will escape most other people in Europe so it is important  that everyone contacts their politicians to demand censure of the fascists in Spain. 
Today we visited s few places for buses it got little film as getting around here is difficult, I think that the local mafia have cornered the market with tour buses which seem the only way of getting to tourist destinations no wonder that many locals are complaining of floods of tourists as they travel around in bus loads disgorged at set points.
