GT DORSET STEAM FAIR OFF SIGN OF THE TIMES

I'm looking ahead to rallies we'll attend next year, The New Year running day Chester/Wrexham will be a good starter, Detling 1st April and Brooklands two weeks later all in our diary. I saw the Great Dorset is off for 2023 but return 2024, they are giving it a break until the economy settles down as prices have spiralled for large events as the entertainment hospitality sector struggles with labour , materials and prices. It remains to be seen if Buses will resurrect Showbus.

I am still very busy getting the downloaded videos of our own and some commercial ones together with the remainder of the Bubb family collection ready to be upgraded to HD in due course. It will be interesting to see what I can rescue, the old BCL Southdown video would be a gem. Shame they vanished with a lot of loaned cine films including the PMT that I would have been on. We are out tonight, a bit of Principles Circle networking from the RNCM, someone can't make an important piano recital in Lymm tonight so we have a couple of free tickets to pick up on the way, its not far from here.

I'm going to film trucks at Newark tomorrow then Wednesday I'm at the consultants at the Spire in Macclesfield first thing then filming at Warrington and finally going to Nantwich where I've found a company who will quoter for restoration work on the little Toyota IQ that I rather cherish, only 2k until it has gone around the clock, my first ever from new to do this. Thursday cleaning house and relations staying over a couple of nights which will be pleasant.

No news yet on the new BT hub arriving and our land line working again, blessed nuisance it has all been. I picked up my new external drive as we are ploughing through so much material that it is burning up TBs like they were going out of fashion.
