At last I've just started burning the master disc for Bus Spot Ultra Peterborough so trailers should be on Youtube by this evening. We have had severe gale strength winds 40mph plus all day and although not particularly cold the wind chill makes it uncomfortable. We went to M&S at Handforth Dean near Manchester airport first thing then came back and unloaded, had a brew and then went to Lowes farm shop for our bedding plants, they are normally cheap as they grow their own but they had to throw it all away then suddenly Boris opened garden centres so they have had to import their stock from Netherlands. We have enough for our garden and sometime next week we'll tidy and plant out the family graves at Southern Cemetery in Manchester. Mandy packed the DVD orders up after we spent several hours cleaning, hoping the girls who do will return soon, then Mandy got the post away at about 4pm, no sooner than she returned the next wave of DVD orders came in which will now have to wait until Tuesday as Monday is a bank holiday and we no longer get a Saturday post or collection. The council still isn't collecting garden waste, I noted some neighbours had left their bins out yesterday on the off chance it had resumed. As soon as I've got this Peterborough film done I can fly through the next seven films as they are modern era taken this past week, the difference is huge between making archive productions against regular current material. I noted on Bus and Coach weekly news that King Alfred bus group have lost their long time parking spot near Winchester and are now desperate to find new accommodation for their large fleet of buses, that on top of having to cancel their main rally of the season. Only a week or so to go and shops will be open, another month after pubs and cafes etc are back. I noted this morning only one mask wearer at M&S a lot less than usual, I think social distancing will be nothing but a joke and totally ignored as soon as all shops are open. The weather here for Sat and Sunday is not great but should allow me to plant the bedding, bank holiday Monday however should be superb with hot sunny weather, I bet the beaches around the country will be packed again. Tonight some more shots from Crick near rugby yesterday, full marks to Stobarts cafe, very friendly service and simple system to follow. Comments are closed.
