It can be very frustrating not knowing what you did only a few hours ago but that's the aging process and we are well into it, sometimes you can play it to your advantage but more often its just a real pain. We've had the hedgehog and fox feeding together in the garden quite a lot, I guess they both have respect for each other, the rabbits locally have appeared day and night in tremendous numbers. Last night we watched a sparrow hawk on the hand rail to the greenhouse pull apart a blue tit but all trace had vanished by morning and I suppose the advantage and disadvantage of having a wildlife friendly garden is that nature will follow it's course and we can only observe, but if those blue tits do any more crapping on the van and pecking at the wing mirrors and windows we'll issue dining invites to the sparrow hawked with our blessing. It was outr friends Ryder and Janet';s golden wedding today, they had a lunch time celebration at a country house hotel near Lymm in Cheshire, Tom Tom sat navigated us via local roads we had never traveled before to find it. Too much eating and we were bursting with course after course at such an early hour for us and a couple of glass of wine somewhere along the way. We were back at teatime but I had to change to casual wear as I was bursting at the seams in my best attire for spring. We went to evensong at St Oswalds and caught up with Rev Jane and our recent adventures and sent our love to Tom and the children . Tomorrow It's Trickfest day for me at Peterborough and an early start which follows a lay in until 8.30 this morning. I've bought my ticket online to avoid the queues and hopefully will be parked up in a good position to turn left and follow the truck exit after lunch ready to film the mass exodus during the afternoon, watching the best part of 3000 lorries go out is a fascinating and humbling experience with hoots and toots which must annoy the neighbours. It is very evident that truck filming brings out the best in people whereas filming the buses well from recent experience I can't say much but really what is it that the minority have to worry about, after all we are the most filmed and monitored society in the world. We are entering balloon week, yes its this Wednesday rescheduled Mandy's birthday treat and we haven't dared to look at the forthcoming forecasts, fingers crossed that tomorrow should be good in Cambridgeshire. Next weekend we do the Fenland rally on Saturday and meet up with my sister Susan and graham in Wellingborough on the way home. We've been struggling to find a suitable residence for our June trip to France, we picked one last night only to find it had been booked yesterday so start all over again, if it doesn't work I'll turn to something different altogether. Meanwhile some clips from yesterday in the North East.Last clips gfoing on Youtube this evening from Sunderland then tomorrow night I start with truckfest volumes 1-?. Comments are closed.
