Today I've penciled in some prospective events including fairs, rallies and running days at various location around the UK. I still have no idea if the Dublin City rally will take place in 2017 there is nothing on Ed's web site. Well we've cut down the number of events and some are either local and easy to get to for filming or tie in with filming in that part of the world. Tomorrow we start filming for 2017, the first destination is Liverpool. This ties in with the rail replacement service to Birkenhead and the enhanced cross Mersey bus services being the first day of phase one. That should give ample opportunity for maximum buses, confusion etc always the delight of the enthusiast. I'll allow myself a good bit of time, I don't know if I'll carry on over to Birkenhead or leave that until later obviously there is an interest for the other side of the rail replacements which I understand includes Stagecoach buses which will eventually be delivered to Cambridge. I didn't get half the things done today that I wanted, I was going to get back into action with the family history but all I've done in months is to reload the software for Family Historian and get no further. I did a lot of filing of my video clips taken from cine or downloaded etc into their relevent slots for easy access although nothing post 'tape' as yet has made it to my database. I've now got a pile of cine film waiting to do a final hi grade copy before I dispose of them on EBay, I've had no interest at all since mentioning the Belgian films a week ago. We have shifted quite a few of the films on EBay about 130 still on auction though. I tried to upload some pictures to the church website on a new gallery but it's an ancient site/ provider which uses html etc which I've no knowledge of at all so passing on that for now. Perhaps Weebly isn't that bad after all! I've popped in a rose which we received as a Christmas gift, too cold to spend much time in the garden, large flocks of birds on the feeders, yet more long tailed tits which have such a distinctive call and easy to pick out from the others at dusk. We've got all the DVD and cine orders done most already at the post office, the parcels we can't take until tomorrow buy Mandy wanted to get ahead so she can resume her morning swims. The next good film day may not be until Friday which I've tentively put aside for Manchester buses, I must check and see if the new rail link on the trams is properly opened as that will preempt my catch up on the Metrolink system. That will leave Croydon to do as long as the drivers are awake. I've done some planning on the Croation Bosnia trip, the railway from Zagreb to Sarajevo is now closed so it will be by bus from Zagreb to Osijek then bus again to Bosnia and fly back to Zagreb on the early fly direct , there is only one day and then probably Monarch on the Manchester Zagreb route for myself. It's a quickie with 6 days in total including travel days, perhaps I'll manage to get trucks around Zagreb, I'll sniff out that opition. I'm doing a coupl;e of archive based non transport titles, the first will be Oil ad gas industry based following on from the construction films which seem to have been well received, of course most of it is propoganda from the companies and taken with a pinch of salt but interesting scenes nevertheless. What can I give you this evening, lets see if I can find anything from the Balkans for you. Croatia and Bosnia we have. Comments are closed.
