https://www.justgiving.com/DaveSpencerWalking Sponsor Dave on the long distance charity walk good evening , I had hoped that I would still be down at Llandudno waiting for the Gt Orme run but mother nature intervened although it was not as bad as it could have been and we have two programmes from coverage of those who made it. The bad weather forecast had obviously kept many people and vehicles away and those which came on Saturday were often bogged down dreading the pull off on Sunday. It was a mud bath in places underfoot. I got the through heavy rain, it left off as I filled at Llandudno Junction and by the time i was parked next to the fairground on good grass it had left off. Not a drop touched myself or the camera all day. Being at Llandudno made me think of Cath McKnight who died last Friday, I believe Alan was at the festival on Saturday , Bill Barlow had seen him. Cath and Alan always had a stand there it was one of the regular shows they attended and made a long weekend of it. Sad to see another of the old squad pass away, we used to have a few beers together at the Halfway Inn near our digs at Lathalmond in Fife each year, at one stage we had quite a gathering of stall holders there. It was an open 'secret' that they got married recently and what a blessing that turned out and hopefully of comfort to their families many of who had travelled with them to Gretna Green. There were a good number of lorries at the show today , a lesser number of buses and even fewer light commercials and the ranks of the cars were very few, fair weather sailors that crowd. Just three vans from Ireland made up a once numerous contingent. I'm bashing away through more cine film and making the DVD covers plus making the DVDs for the event today - I'll get clips on Youtube tonight. The DVDs should be in the shop this evening as well. Don't forget to Sponsor me for the long distance walk in July, see top of page, copy and paste to my Just Giving page or there are direct links on the site to the page. The photos from Lllandudno thos morning, sugar - it's not working I'll save and come back later to add them fingers crossed. Sorry tried everything switched computer off and on still no joy! Here is one of yesterdays clips from Blackpool. Comments are closed.
