Orders for PMP DVDs are waiting to be posted but for the second day running they have been disrupted by closure of our local post offices as they have both suffered a collapse of the Post Office IT system and are being told nothing about progress on fixing the faults although that in turn sounds a bit like the heating engineers fixing the boiler at St Oswalds church in Lower Peover. Tonight I bring you a collection of shots taken yesterday afternoon in Preston. I need to get covers made for the latest three DVDs all on buses covering Bristol, Cardiff and Preston. I only have two free days for filming next week and hope to have these taking updates on the truck scene, anyone seen any 18 regs out there, I haven't even spotted a new reg car. We went to Leighton hospital at Crewe first thing today for Mandy's pre-op although no date yet for the operation a repeat of the failure to fix Mandys blocked tear ducts, thus the running eyes carries on. It's my birthday today thanks for a small flurry of post and last night we went to the newly relaunched Smoker pub at Plumley which has had a complete refit and looks like a standard British Gastro pub down to the grey paint and thus Robinsons answer to Lees' Golden Pheasant just up the road perhaps better for all freshly cooked food prepared on the premises. Amy our favourite waitress has joined the new team there from the Pheasant. The planned meal out tonight has been put back as we are going to the British Polio Fellowship fund raising choir concert at Port Sunlight this evening so it's a Shepherds pie out of the freezer. Buses magazine came out today with more sad news of independents vanishing but there always seems to be new ones popping up. Singaporian Comfort Delgro has a non regulated operation now in the UK and Diamond has plucked off Central which is a shame but it has a very thinly spead network which probably ties in with Diamond itself a bit of an oddball and generally not an inspiring fleet with service and back up suitably matched! I wonder when the new Stagecoach livery will appear. Anyway lets take off with Preston yesterday. Comments are closed.
