I think the old Windows XP has finally expired especially service pack 2 versions as none of the anti virus systems now support it, only found out when trying to update AVG which for the first time even hadn't automatically updated itself, it took a day on and off to establish the reason, after that I struggled through with two more which said the did XP Bull Guard and Avira, neither did and neither has given me my money back so a corresponding review has gone to Trust Pilot site.I'm waiting for our IT expert Mark to commission the computer I purchased a couple of years back ready for such a moment running on Windows 7. So at present limiting myself to known sites and not opening email attachments as I have no protection. I was surprised when even Microsoft dropped it's own protection cover, not sure why other than trying to sel latest models which I'm not interested in. All the geeks seem to want is to makes the net etc like a kids game, so frustrating Windows XP was the last simple, plain, professional system and masses of files for instance in the UK nuclear industry are stored and managed on XP systems. Inundated by phone with the phony BT calls today, almost a daily happening- I guess BT themselves could pull the plug on this mis use but only seem to be complicit in illegal operations. They even participate with their own false promises such as enhanced internet speeds at additional cost but not deliverable in reality. I went to Warrington for thing today, the weather was pleasant and I got a fine programme from the visit. Warrington one of my favourite bus locations, very friendly, new buses, variety of buses, operators and liveries and one of the small handful of minicipal bus operations left in the UK. Here are some shots, the DVD will be made today. Comments are closed.
