It was good not to have to get up too early this morning after such a hectic weekend probably the most punishing of the year although better now I don't need to go out filming buses on the holiday Saturday. The traffic coming back from Truckfest was very light, perhaps it was the weather or lack of money around. As Dear Leader Cherry Blossom May is proceeding with such tact and diplomacy we must expect a financial crash at some stage and I am going to get out what documentation I have and send off for my Irish passport based on my father's nationality. Although I couldn't get his DOB and thus his birth cert I do have other material to substantiate it. Mandy would then get hers based on mine. We are considering selling our investments in the UK and putting our savings in Ireland where we already hold accounts and property. An escape route seems a useful thing if we end up a pariah state having to rely on Trump. How any body would still want to vote for the Tories beggars belief although with Blair revving up in the wings that will put off anyone ever voting labour although Gordon Brown was a good chancellor but just had the wool draped over his eyes by the corrupt Tory led banking system. I think what the Cameroons did having a vote based on people thinking that all immigrants would go home and the NHS would get shed loads of cash was almost treasonable, reckless at least. We have had a lot of DVD orders coming in and a lot more arrived after we got the weekends accumulation shifted. I had to go to the doctors to follow up on my toe infection which is still not fixed but the new young doctor thought it was probably just the immune system creating fluid now so salt bathing and keeping an eye for a while. Mandy had a Polio Fellowship road show at Chester, the things she had noted as main issues to raise were also the things head office wanted to ask people about, old infirm members are the norm is the bottom line, where do they go from here. I've been busy getting the DVDs ready from Llandudno festival and Truckfest, 6 are now at DVD stage and there will be a pile of clips to come on to Youtube. I'll need to get the covers done before I can put them on our shop. It's been a dry, mostly warm and sunny day, tomorrow I have a meeting as church warden on the progress on the toilet block,Thursday looks as if it will be my bus filming day if the weather suits. So photos from the files now from Truckfest Comments are closed.
