I was able to send off the Andorra film on dvd to their national archive service, glad to help, we lover little countries at PMP and you can even find an Andorra bus DVD in our range. I'm trying to get the covers done and list the latest four DVDs but there is so much to do. This morning after dropping off the post and witnessing the traffic chaos on the M6 ( whats new) we went to Fryers roses and I managed to get everything I wanted for the garden this weekend from mouse bait to watering can rose via Dahlia corms and tie wraps etc. Then we wended our way past the traffic joining the M6 at Lymm service at my hauny overlooking the services and cut through to the M56 motorway getting to Ellesmere Port and had my haircut and then went to Jollies pet store and stocked up on bird food. From there a short hop to Marks & Spencers for lunch and food shopping plus two nice silk ties ( who said I would try and never wear them again after retirement!). Then it was time to get to the club and set up for the Polio Fellowship agaim. To cut a very long story short the need to get more people in positions required by the central organisation we needed to nominate more people and I was proposed and seconded as publicity/press officer and enrolled as a member on the spot, not a chance to decline, yet another job but one I was actually already doing. Quite a good attendance given the general poor health of several people in the branch, of course we'd been with a few of the folk at Graham Cox's memorial service yesterday at Port Sunlight. Then home via Chester to avoid the motorways, it was like a bank holiday Friday afternoon, anyway I made it home with Mandy pushing the other traffic to one side as usual. Then I gave my lilies a spray, fed the birds and then we booked the ferries for the N Ireland trip next week, going Wednesday and stopping off to film in Dublin then up to Co Antrim where we stay at Comber and film in Belfast buses and trucks either Thursday or Friday the other day going over to Derry etc to film buses. The Cultra Ulsterbus at 50 rally is on Saturday, we return via Scotland on the Saturday evening. The title comment on the bus station applies to Chester, I'd heard the news on the radio but forgotten to mention it - what a surprise the buses can't turn around inside the new bus station which was due to have opened this month, any enthusiast could have predicted this story of woe which has been the same as most other such facilities planned over the past 15 years or so. Stupid idiots use computers rather than common sense and a measuring rod plus bus and driver in a suitable space to establish what is required but they never learn. Keeping our heads down over the holiday period not setting foot on a motorway. Church warden duties tonight, Friday and of course Sunday - between that and the Irish trip Wednesday I'll catch up with the garden, photo filing etc, I have put quite a few up on our Smugmug site including Crick trucks, Bristol buses etc last night. I'm working on the Co Durham stuff next. Here are links to recent trailers on Youtube. I hope they show as Weebly isn't registering the links! Comments are closed.
