Today after getting the DVD orders ready I went to the Cat & Fiddle near Buxton in Derbyshire. The traffic through to Macclesfield was like rush hour still at 10am. Parked up in my usual spot, I must learn to be more selfish in parking as two vans came along and blocked my view, after the first i was going to move my little car but was beaten to it by the next one, in the end I tried a silly angle across the space which worked better, some are deterred by the sight of the camera. Unblocked it offers a superb panorama of the lorries in both directions and still photos as well as video. The G reg Foden was probably star of the show I caught him on film twice, second time he stopped for a chat, nice chap I offered to send him the picture, he said he wish he had a photo of every truck he'd driven over the years. It was very icy this morning and a lot of mist around although the Cat & fiddle is way up above the fog. The pub there is still shut, there were about 6 hang gliders, a bit too cold for that lark. A nice continuity of wagons rolling past, I packed in just after 2pm as there were clouds starting to develop and the temperature was plumeting again. The cleaners were in when I got back, just put some clips of Bradford buses on Youtube and got another couple of DVD covers done. It film shows tomorrow so I'd better get my act together first thing and not forget the speakers, the village hall opens at 6pm for the main evening event at Plumley, The Swinging Sixties - the village shop didn't sell one ticket, Peter used to push the stuff a lot more . Anyway we've other things to get through first like Bradford so it's yesterday afternoon's selection. Comments are closed.
