A very cold visit to the A500 west near Crewe in Cheshire but at least we have now kicked off on our coverage for the New Year and I managed to see a couple of classics, film of both one on each volume as luck would have it albeit the first defeated the still camera. It was about freezing point and laying snow or ice never melted. It is still possible we could get more snow as this lengthy cold period sees no end in sight yet. The drivers on the lorries were 100% thumbs up and of course it is also our forst day filming with no lingering links to the EU other than the fairly low key freight and tariiff agreement. The motorways south warned drivers they needed a Covid test before approaching the posts and on the north bound carriageways it was Tier 4 stay at home messages. If the weather is suitable tomorrow, preferably light cloud I'll make my start of the bus scene. It looks as if we are in for a third English lock down quite soon as the Corona pandemic continues to surge. We are hopeful that Mandy and me will be getting vaccinated before Easter. I've started editing the second of the A500 films taken this morning and will get the covers for these and the Crich tram Museum done asap before moving on. There will be more on UK preserved trams and then Bus Spot Ultra Accrington. Comments are closed.
