We got the DVD orders away first thing then went to Northwich to Waitrose, shopping done a customer we met there told us there was flour in Davenham at the organic farm shop, almost on the way home, now Mandy can start baking her delicious cakes again. Then we had a brew and Portuguese custard and went for a walk at Marbury Country Park the other side of Northwich. The weather was very breezy but when we got back we had a sit on our new garden seats and we were almost completely sheltered from the wind, it was only 15 deg but felt like 20. While Mandy had a doze I got some weeding done and unearthed the bunting we had for St Oswalds 750th last year which can go up for the 75th since VE day which is bank holiday Friday this week, what a blow for all the work we had already done getting events ready, I've no doubt that we shall all have a toast for the lads who gave their all, on my adopted side I lost three uncles in the war. The first war soaked up numerous relations for many of us. Tomorrow I'm slightly further afield with the trucks at another favourite spot on the Uttoxeter roundabout in Staffordshire. We will gradually be getting further afield and hope to be ready when public transport starts to ramp up although how the buses will operate with half a dozen people at max is bizarre. Here are shots from our latest couple of walks. THe canal boat is the mobile filling station! Comments are closed.
