It was probably our busiest weekend this year with a bumper crop of DVD orders although little today as we got this mornings orders all out with those from Saturday and Sunday. The day really has flown by and I've put several Barnsley bus clips on Youtube and uploading a Peterborough selection right now. I'll probably post a Boston clip to go with it, the DVD is 90 minutes long. We are out tonight at the Dog in Over Peover and then up early on our way south with weather a bit iffy for filming but I'll look again tonight before bed and see if we can pull a rabbit out of the hat for filming. Tomorrow night we meet up with John and Maureen at Hailsham staying at an hotel nearby. We'll swap around cine films and that will give me yet more to scan. The new scanner as predicted was sitting waiting for us at the post office, no time to test it this week though, thankfully the old faithful is going well. I've had a couple of hours on the diorama, I'm comparing three makes of terraced house rears, Metcalfe is out in the lead at present by a long way. The Superquick version is flimsy and has poor instructions although includes glazing but basics only. I'll add some detail to spruce it up a bit. The tram track section embedded in the cobbled road looks much better now i place on the layout. I'm going to start the first concrete bus shelter kits and see how it all measures up for space on the diorama. I've a few more parts coming in from John Howe at Buxton, Kingsway models. We got the Polio Fellowship magazine, the article I did for Mandy has been included in full and fills up some space where material is getting thin. I hope to call by at Portsmouth and Fareham on our way home on Wednesday, it should be sunny and those two can cope with sunny weather ok in late autumn. It has been far too wet for gardening but the grass needs another mow. So we are away until Wednesday night, all orders received next two days go out Thursday but don't let that worry you, we'll soon get them shifted. I'm now using some of the sales stock that was ready for the rallies that never happened, that speeds me up a bit. plenty of gin and beer in the cupboard so all set for Christmas. As we will be in South East it seems only right to have some photos from Hampshire. Comments are closed.
