The weather today was about as good as you can expect in December for filming and I started at Crewe then carried on to Congleton, Macclesfield and finished at Northwich which finishes last in many respects as it is such a pig to film there with the bus stops being set among horrendous continuous traffic. Plaudits must go to the lovely folk in Macclesfield who offered me a cuppa and the reverse to the Arriva driver at Congleton who was one of the hold you hand over your face when exiting the bus station and you won't notice me among the thousands of others who aren't trying to steer a huge bus with passengers while not seeing where they are going, obvious any ostrich will explain the logic to these actions. Had a very nice coffee and cake at Congleton in a smart new cafe next to grotty Costa, Whitbread set ever declining standards in their set ups which include Costa and Premier Inn. The bus interest varied a bit, Crewe slow but sure with four operators and a good mix of vehicles, Congleton managed three operators and Macclesfield the same , Northwich, who cares. Anyway a nice long running production starting work on it tonight. The weather tomorrow looks favourable for Newcastle upon Tyne but its a long way to go if it is wrong. I managed to update our shop on Amazon should any of you be perverse enough to go there instead of supporting PMP fully by using our own shop. I can't be bothered updating Ebay at present it is a tedious and old fashioned process, does anything much really still sell on it? On the home front, I've tried hopefully successfully to fix the awful steering ball on Mandys new Honda, it has already been back to Jeff Gosling re the quality of the first one, the second attempt isn't much better with a sharp edge on the screw cover, fitted as should have been in the first place but second attempts the serration has just changed component. Gosling are not recommended but are obviously the choice of many as they can visit the retailers premises and fit the adaption there. I've taken off the dangling bits of ceiling in the kitchen and replaced the lights into their sockets , the plumber left them down because of the dampness from the leak which seems to be drying out a bit. I've been up in the loft to get down the rest of the Christmas decorations. I'm going to lightly put paper over the main holes in the ceiling and make it less obvious, at the moment your eyes are drawn straight to it every tiome you step in. Roll on New Year and restoration. Anyway here are some shots from todays trip. Comments are closed.
