Reasonable weather, just about dry and wind calmed down after a bumpy night. After lunch on return from St Oswalds I got stuck in to the cementing of the chimney which had ben eroded on one side mainly. borrowed next doors ladder but still quite nervous about extending much past the gutter level lest the fulcrum go against me. Anyway a bit of a mess dropping pieces of mortar, cleaned it all up as best I could. Tomorrow I'll apply the brick sealant from Germany, expensive stuff at £80 at tube. That won't take that long to apply as long as it is above 9deg and dry. Then I might be able to visit Ashton Under Lyme and film the new interchange which sneaked in under my radar. We have got all the DVD orders ready to post, I've got the front and side of the garden planted up ready for spring, it just leaves some bulbs to put in the back garden and we need to go down the Southern Cemetery and get that ready for spring and of course over winter. There should be several opportunities for filming this week although we are out at BPF on Thursday and Wednesday out for dinner that evening. The present round of film scanning is drawing to an end. I need to catch up with John Bishop in Sussex at some time this winter and swap round films and I also need to contact Robin Hannay about swapping around his film and discuss their future lodgement with OTA if possible. The Phil Tatt films I'm scanning for OTA , I'm on a couple of rescans as the external storage device went kaput on us and I lost two films of scans. When I'm on top of all this I can start working on the next archive DVD features and also the diorama I talked about last night. Fingers crossed that this weeks filming will be a good mix of bus and truck, dipping into the truck films tonight as the beet campaign at Newark, Notts should be under way now to film.
