It was as ever a busy day, oh for those carefree working day when i could lounge around in the office getting my photos filed and family history done. Anyway here we are a blazing hot sunny Wednesday and tomorrow is my film night at Plumley village hall. I started off getting Mandy off for her car service, she talked to the staff about her new Jazz for next March looks as if she'll get one and keep the same colour - white and with the same PMP number plate which will save getting the various toll passes in UK and Ireland changed. Then while Mandy was away at the car service in Ellesmere Port I got all the replacement DVD stock ready for Showbus and adjusted the stock in the car,. no photos but nearly the whole PMP DVD range save for the first half dozen boxes. I topped up the water bottles and cleaned the van and my little IQ then this morning I'd run off a lot more 16mm cine while I was getting the stock sorted, this has now been photographed for EBay and all taken to the garage so some floor space back in the office. I've a couple more to do then out of tapes with just a dozen left plus all the std and super 8s to do at least they don't take up as much space. When Mandy got back we finished packing today's DVD orders and a large order for cine film which was going to the states. We are ready for Ireland leaving next Sunday so no orders going out after Saturday morning. I got both the Manchester area DVDs ready last night and the first order for them has already been posted, they were Stockport and Ashton and it's Ashton which provides this afternoon's slide show. We are still looking at bthe February winter warmth trip with an eye towards another perhaps final trip to Burma to have another look around Moulmein and beyond as the far south becomes accessible to visitor, not sure how we get there other than be road although there is an airport which may now be operating civil flights, the other half of the trip would probably be to the beach but not necessarily. Tomorrow if the weather is reasonably bright I'm going to do some lorry films on the Crewe Nantwich A500 road which was very good when I first tried it earlier this year. The police rang about the follow up to the sad incident on the M6 a couple of weeks back when a lorry driver hit my little car and knocked me over when we pulled to the hard should, the anpr camera took a shot of the lorry but only focussed on the maker of the fork lift truck mounted on the back with no number plate! Investigations have ceased. It just shows with all that technology they can't do everything but it was a near miss, thankfully neither myself or the car was damaged. Comments are closed.
