I have completed the DVD Manchester's Orange Buses, 100' duration drawn from the PMP archive with scenes from the 1960's through to 90's of the orange liveried buses of Manchester from SELNEC, GMPTE,GM Buses to privatisation in 1986 and beyond. This will of course be launched at the Big Orange event at the Greater Manchester Transport museum at Boyle street this coming weekend. The biggest gathering of Orange buses since SELNEC 40 be sure to come and enjoy a few rides and have a look in at the stall, we'll be sharing the sales section with MDS book sales. Scenes from the new DVD will be shown throughout the day. We've been very busy on several fronts, all the Scottish DVDs from the weekend are now on sale, the PMP online shop is at last behaving itself on Weebly and the new credit card facility on the online shop is proving to be very popular perhaps diverting sales from Amazon and EBay which both take chunks of revenue from the sales and that's income which cannot be spent on adding to our archive. Getting all the DVD orders ready plus several cine reels which sold has taken up a lot of the morning and then I've booked the PMP van in for it's MOT, also sorted out the bumper front fairing assembly which had come away after hitting the badger around the corner on Sunday night on the way back from Glasgow. Back on our dieting days this week although we cheat tomorrow as we are on a Polio Fellowship outing to Gordale nurseries and have afternoon tea there. I've also sussed out the bingo cards and calling crib sheet for the future fund raising night Bangers, beans and bingo, there are also barm cakes but that's far too many b's for me. I've sorted a few more photos out ready for filing, an enormous session is required to upload to our Smugmug stills site. I've uploaded many clips to the PMP Youtube channel today. Scenes from the Bridgeton running day taken Sunday. We have also been busy getting more concerts and shows book through the winter so we have lots to look forward to. We are investigating alternative bus rallies to attend next year, invites welcome, we'll also attend some running days without the stand. Comments are closed.
