Its been a slog getting through the Standard8 cine fils but I'm making good progress now getting them on my database, reselling on EBay and then loading the clips to our Youtube channel. I spent much of Saturday doing this then reverted to getting the PMP accounts for December entered up this took me through into the evening by which time I was ready for a sit down and a bit of telly including a late night session of 3 episodes of Father Ted. By that time I'd missed the blog and was ready for bed. I was glad I hadn't even attempted to do any film work.
Looking ahead to Monday the weather forecast looks favouable to do the buses in Leeds as originally planned and if time permits I'll do Huddersfield afterwards when sun could creep out over West Yorkshire. The look ahead gets increasingly difficult with fast moving weather systems passing over but there looks to be a chance that I could attempt our first volume of trucks down near Crick off the M1 a location we've had out eyes on for a couple of years. Beyond this the destinations in my head are many fold but lets just wait and see. I've got replies from all but one of the Colombian hotels for transfers and confirmations on the trip at the end of Jan / Feb coming up very soon. I'll also try and update the China trip based on the latest intelligence coming out on delayed tram system opening per Light Rail. Our first advert in Modern Tramways for some years was messed up, the draft version was so low resolution I couldn't see more than the layout only the published version gave a sharp appraisal. There wasn't a lot for them to do but still they messed up not a great start. I'm still bashing my way through the standard8 cine loadings and have with an eye to later in the week just ordered up more tapes for use on the Super8 cine which contains a much higher proportion of transport related material and those with sound including a lot of rail stuff. I've ordered 18 reels of 16mm film from the shop over in Cleethorpes, I can't see me back on cine until February or March by which time the rally season is starting and such winter tasks are put back on hold. I did have in mind a bit of gardening but the back has been herniating regularly yesterday evening and Mandy thought it best I take it slow on that front. I did get some photos trimmed up ready to file yesterday including the Halifax and Bradford from last year so those will soon be on the Smugmug site with many other recent releases already uoploaded but visits to purchase stills remain quite low considering the ammount of requests I got.
