Just about everything that could go wrong did and then when it all seemed to be over another one pops out the wood work. It was a damp miserable Friday albeit not the 13th to my reckoning although the days do tend to blur into one another in retirement. At least at work you got a rest and weekends off. I popped round to inspect the floor I'd cleaned at the new toilet at St Oswalds, although much improved still a lot more effort to remove the cement that the constructors didn't know which side of the tile it should go on. There was a wedding due later in the morning at least the facility smelt fine. I met Keith my fellow church warden, we tramped around in the drizzle looking at yet another list of defects from the work which had been done, it lengthens, some items drop off others come on. It's almost a spectator sport now with more throwing their penny worth in the hat. Some were just plain silly so we tried to prune it to basics and swallow the unpalatable truth that we'd been the victims of shoddy workmanship but trying to get everything shipshape for the royal opening we need to be both practical and pragmatic. The thought weighs heavy with us both that another whole new can of worms will come with the proposal to remove two rows of pews to facilitate circulation space and disabled access. I would think if we don't crack devilment will overtake us too and we'll go for every innovation we can think of and see if the ne'er do wells crack under the strain. There is a course on being a new church warden tomorrow at Daresbury, skin of a Rhino and a suit of armour and deep pockets must rank highly then. My tripod head got smashed and much repairing was required, I'm not sure it will be up to the Ukraine trip and might get a slightly lighter weight model. I finally ordered up a new still camera, I decided to go for a second hand one again with perfect lens glass as they get such a hammering with me and it's 50% cheaper, just one model back but three up from my present Canon which does the job but has no facility for lends protection like you would put on an SLR. Still using the same family line though as I know how their logic works with the controls but as ever it will mean more new batteries. I finally received my outstanding camcorder third battery from Bristol, I only ordered from them as they were supposed to have one in stock but it's not been a problem. Google/Youtube blanked me altogether on the subscription channel questions, I must have been tallking to a computer rather than a person or most likely an American which is pretty much the same thing. Talk about a shared language, I think not. I did find out how to move the films from one of my channels to another. I'm gradually putting them on my regular Youtube channel, full length programmes two days to watch just 4.99 rather than £15 to buy the DVD. I have also loaded the clips from the latest Cheshire bus DVD which I managed to get the cover done for along with all the others outstanding. I just need to enter them on my shop, I may do that before bed tonight and update the lists on the web site. What can I give you by way of pictures well lets see some of those DVD covers, just what the doctor ordered, you should be able to buy them tonight! Oh what happened later, the electric went off yet again, surged, knocked all sorts off, blew two lamps, had to go to Knutsford for new tubes, starters and more surge protection plugs, Sottish Power said its nothing to do with them, they were on holiday, not me guv, didn't see a thing, electric no mate don't now anything bout it.
