Several jobs underway today, first thing we went to the tip and got rid of some rather 'tired' pillows, we found replacements at Beales in Peterborough. Then we went to the garden centre, had coffee ( and cake) then back home and up to look at the roof around the chimney where there is damp ingress. I think we have a couple of issues, some mortar needs replacing on the stack and moss has started on the new roof just near the chimney so I attended to that best I could. I need to borrow next doors large ladder to get up tomorrow and make some progress on the pointing. I cleaned off a lot of the lichen etc and the rain which stopped me in my tracks will have rinsed off the area. The bedding plants and bulbs will also need putting in. Jobs piling up for tomorrow a good job my operation scarring is a lot more comfortable now and I survived the ladder climbing. I'm now on with the draft layout for my third diorama which will be based around lorries. I'm using techniques which worked well in the second bus scene and have put together a good set of images which I can base the distribution centre on plus the post/container terminal. I want something as well that is more 1980/90s and it will all be knitted together with motorway which again will show progress ( or not) through the eras I'm looking at. Anyone who has seen the pictures of construction on the blog will immediately realise similarities with my Derby bus station model on the working images.below. Comments are closed.
