It went very well getting the new archive IOW with the new 1938 stock arriving and the older ones departing or being cut up, Atkinson and ERF lorries feature extensively in this programme so perhaps it embraces several genres of viewers. I was quite chuffed with the soundtrack however the short trailer for it on Youtube won't have any sound other than my intro and ending. I'll try and get it uploaded shortly.
The AI software copied the 1986 Glasgow video in a 'trial' mode as I hadn't logged in, not that it is very obvious that you need to do that every time you open it. Anyway I'm re doing the section of the film and that will give at least two 50fps clips to put on, I'll give them a run through my ordinary editing deck as that can help with brightness and colour and stabilisation which the AI doesn't do. The first two trial clips have already attracted a lot of attention. I'm going to try the earliest video that I have from the 1970s to see just how far its benefits can go. It really opens up a whole new perspective which together with digital scanning of cine is upgrading our products no end. I must remember to turn the sound off when treating it with AI as this just slows it down without any improvement, the two can be married up again after processing. Mandy and I were discussing travel plans down at the The Crown last night, a couple of ideas are bouncing around. Obviously it all depends on which foreign countries want to let us in and that they are not on the UK Red list or should that be the England red list. I've scanned a lot of Dave Forrest's 50' reels of cine and compiling them to 400' reels. Time consuming but these are the images we are laying doen for future generations, oh but I had some help on these things. As a diversion I did a bit of research on Mandy's family tree which is fairly huge and she has lines now back into BC. Anyway I thought I'd give the images a rest as you'll get the video clip shortly! Comments are closed.
