We had a very pleasant meal at one of he many Irish pubs in tours last night the old town was buzzing even on a Monday evening towards the end of the holiday season . We didn't rush too much this morning as the trams were going to be on strike in the rush hour but in the end the action was canceled and everything was as normal. Rather than top up the card I got yesterday I got another new one so I'd have a couple for my ticket collecting friend Martin rickett . I had covered the northern half of the one line system yesterday evening so I concentrated on the lower section from the rail station south. It was no hassle filming and I got a very nice rear cab ride back from the terminus end to gare with the wide angle effect used to best advantage across the windscreen quite a good view. It was not yet eleven am when I caught up with Mandy and we were soon out of tours retracing our steps north to Rouen although the sat nav wanted to take us across country and an extra half hour on the trip not sure why it picked up that option so we just ignored it and we soon over the bridge into the environs of Le Havre and managed to find the roundabout where I had filmed the trucks on my last visit here. The weather was cloudy but cleared as we arrived and the temperature started rising to match the sunshine. Lots of hoots and to its and flashing lights from the truckers, just one misery who didn't want to play but 99.99 percent ain't bad at all is it. The dock area warrants further investigation and if we are up sharpninnthe morning we,ll have a mosey around and see if I can find a different spot for filming I saw a likely place on the way to our hotel, its the latest Accor group manifestation in the shape of an apartment hotel which is quite well laid out for an Accor lace albeit I had sworn never to use then again after the crazy place in Dijon where we lost our money and had to book in elsewhere. We are on the old do clans area so nothing much around us but the net connection seems fine so ill see if we can find any recommendation on the net even if we have a bit of a ride out this evening. Last night was an adventure with the wheel chair my left knee has not recovered yet and very sore so another nights rest might pay dividends.
