My camera is more adept for buses than photographing butterflies but I can spot them ok and today we had in our garden yellow brimstone, then on our walk on the back lanes of Plumley Orange Tipped and then back home again Common Blue, makes a change from the usual mix here. Perhaps another dividend from the quieter countryside, just need to get those lycra monstrosities off the roads and all will do quite nicely. It was a busy morning after I'd done my plumbing, yes the kitchen sink again, water can easily mislead one as to the leak location, it wasn't one of the down flow pipes but the seal between plughole and sealing ring beneath, anyway awkward to get to but sorted then the garden. I got all the climbing plants retrained and restrung along the fence and then tackled the fuchsia bush which had mingled with one of the grasses we planted years ago when the blighters were the in thing. The fuchsia had enormous roots and after a lunch time break I took the chain saw to it and with one cut it was up and another the main body was in three , one being the grass clump. I'll replant the other pieces fuchsia withstands brutal treatment. Then I retreated to the office, DVD orders drifting in as singles today already 8, we'll pop them in the post tomorrow although post services in the UK are random owing to unrest over social distancing in packed sorting offices. I got the remainder of the Christmas 1991 archive tape on to Youtube the latest uploads being Guangzhou China on Christmas day. Where did twenty nine years vanish to so quickly. Tonight some more pics from yesterdays truck feast on the Mg over bridge, Lower Peover, Cheshire - home to PMP. I'll try and find the Foden shot, hope you enjoyed the ERF yesterday. I'm also posting a few shots from our walk half an hour ago, still warmish, hazy sun, got an icecream at the village shop on the way home had a few minutes sat in the garden , temperature now falling, must water transplants yet again tonight. Its all starting to take shape, I should do a before and after picture. On the walk I thought the derelict farm house had a warning of collapse notice but it was actually warning of a vulnerable couple. Comments are closed.
