Not a lot of time spare this evening another news worthy day, I went into work and had some success with outstanding matters related to the training work and the in tray has thus gone down a little. It's all a bit like one of those old games with plastic letters in a square trying to make words or get them in the right order, move one and it puts out another. Still no wiser as to how things at work will pan out, I've heard nothing from the pensions department so perhaps give them a gentle kick tomorrow. I had a doctors appointment this afternoon which I did online this morning at work, didn't get the chap I wanted but the one I saw seemed to know what he was doing. I now have to have a blood test plus do a week of blood pressure reading for which I had to go to the pharmacists in the precinct to buy one, special offer at £13 wasn't bad. We had the chap around to take the order for the triple glazing so thats now on the go, really looking forward to seeing how much noise it reduces. I sent off a message the other day about the noise from the motorway for the consultation process on the new Smart Motorway to be introduced on the M6 past our village - no reply. Some movement on Travel Councillors after we kicked Manoj into touch as he just abandoned the Colombia trip after booking the international flights. I've now got a new contact and had a long chat on the phone, she got all the internal flights sorted for us within hours of sending through the details. I made some progress on the Balloon flight DVD last night and hope to get a bit more done later, a bit off the wall compared with our normal stuff but hey it's about modes of travel.
