hi friends worldwide and a special mention for readers in France we shall be transiting via Paris and will obviously thinking of the terrible events there. its Wednesday afternoon in Havana, I had a while out this morning but really compared to Santiago Havana has relatively little to offer by way of interesting old commercials. there are obviously thousands more makes and types that I haven't recorded,I saw an ancient Peugeot while waiting to get a taxi back this morning there seemed to be a short age of taxis and I'd lost the pain killer pill I'd put in my pocket and had to walk back as far as the station but the last few minutes would have killed me and finally a car stopped,a lady taxi driver that was a first here.
as we had BBC world service we caught up with the main mews,WiFi connects here are very difficult to connect with and you cannot send emails at all. smoking is allowed most places, the flight last night was on a new antanov plane, the old bomber conversions have been replaced but they did have a certain charm. the parque central in Havana is a lot less seedy than the melia in Santiago where the old guys rent young girls for their stay,in the restaurant one night they were conversing via internet speech conversion, not the most dpontanious I would think. I've got lots of film and photos,I'd say about 12 hours of film.I reckon I'll stick all tricks together whatever their use and then separate buses and the cars. we arrive back in Manchester Thursday afternoon then I go back into work on Friday. its still in the 90s here and pretty sticky in reception with the cigar smog making a change from diesel particulates.
