After another restless night with my shoulder i made a same day appointment with the duty doctor, went just after 3 this afternoon, I think seeing our own doctor is about three months advance booking. He reckons it isn't arthritic but muscular which after 6 months seems strange but I've got some of the medical strength ibuprofen gel to put on. He has upped my nerve pain medication to get rid of the other pain inside my leg which I guess he thinks is sciatic so sorted, fingers crossed at least. I worked on to get the rest of the orders received overnight done and Mandy took it all off to the post. Thankfully the bumper months and high Youtube income covers the advance payments for the film trip to Reunion and Madagascar in the autumn. Youtube took a dive on Easter day, the hits have also gone down so more effort required out there in viewing land to make sure I've got some beer money for Russia. My traveling companion Martin has finally been discharged from hospital , they kept him in over the weekend as the was nobody there with authority to let him out. It looks definite that Martin won't make Russia in May, a pity as it was his idea for the trip but I think I'll play it safe sticking to the touristed large cities, some trucks would be superb, if I could do as well as I did in Ukraine I'd be happy. I've got my learning Russia CD out ready to work through on my film outings. The van is packed ready for the off on Thursday morning, straight down to Uxbridge, film the rush hour then on to Tunbridge Wells and then to overnight near Maidstone. It still looks like fine weather Friday to cover the lorries at Dover port. Saturday the Detling rally day looks less settled. I worked on with my ministry course essay and got it finished with amendments suggested by my mentor Ann who used to mark the assignments, last month doing it on my own didn't get me that far so some helpful suggestions were welcome. It's so cold and wet all the time, after the doctors battled through the ever growing afternoon traffic to Knutsford to check the business account ready to pay off the cards, it would have taken ages to come from home to Holmes Chapel after 4pm, the traffic is horrendous. If be any chance wee get a settled spell tomorrow I may have a go at shooting video from the motorway. I also got the final two American streetcar DVDs made together with the covers, all on the shop page. It's getting hard thinking of subjects for the slide show, I'll have to take lucky dip and look at some classic trucks. I got two new folders for the DVD masters today, one had broken over the weekend, fell off the sorting table, another was already kaput waiting for replacement, takes ages taking the discs out and refiling, boring! I got several trips worth of photos filed today, I'll put them on our Smugmug still photo site this evening. Comments are closed.
