Amongst the nice things today was an email received at work from my friend Li in China who i haven't heard from for a very long time, he has had the joy(sic) of herniated discs and has been off work for quite a while, in Chinese terms now he is probably coming up to retirement although I guess that as things get tougher in the economy people there will have to work longer and harder just like in Europe. The bad side of things I guess must be the continued problems with terrorists in France, just when they must have thought they'd got things coming to a conclusion, almost looks like the start of their 911events. I've been to work and cleared the most urgent jobs and caught up on emails, one good thing about Christmas is that most other people have also been on leave for the greater part of the past two weeks. The weather was mild but very wet and windy, so much so that Scotland has been battered in the central belt by the storms. I had the heater booster on all day, we were glad we had the under blanket heater to warm up the bed last night, morning seemed to come around very quickly. I shot off an email to our facilitator in Dhaka reference receiving visa, booking the paddle steamer cabins plus trying to get the hotel upgraded to an establishment which doesn't linger in the bottom divisions of Trip Adviser. I downloaded the Cuban still photos and have trimmed a few up already, there are nearly 2000 so a lot to delete and select from etc, they'll all get uploaded on our still photo sales site SmugMug some time soon. I need to get a motor on with everything as the next trip starts before January is out. I'm just downloading the last memory chip from Cuba, I think there is around 18 hours of film. I'll put cars on separate films and ditto proper buses. The test of the truck cum buses and proper truck/lorry/vans can all run on together. I'll keep them in location order are there are many destinations included although obviously no tourist destinations other than Havana ad Trinidad and nothing west of Havana and nothing east of Santiago. So its back to the grind stone, a lay in Saturday morning will be pleasant, my leg is swollen for the first time in weeks although the location of pain has relocated to it's usual position, plenty of tramadol on hand for Bangladesh! Photos continue in chronological order of the Cuban trip Comments are closed.
